  WCTE Video: "A Barn Adorned"

This video answers questions about why there is an Upper Cumberland Quilt Trail, who paints the panels, what is involved in hanging panels on the barns, and other questions you might have.

  September 2010 Tour
The first organized tour of the Upper Cumberland Quilt Barns was a fun day of visiting, shopping, eating, and taking pictures. As advertised, it was a photographers delight! Some site owners were dressed in period costume.

  Painting the Squares

Students at Algood Middle School, Cookeville High School, and Cornerstone Middle School in Baxter painted a number of the panels to be mounted on the barns. They worked under the direction of art teachers.

  Hanging the Panels

The high school carpentry class assembled the scaffolding and installed the squares on the barns. It looks like they had a good time doing it!
